It's that time of year again, and I know you all are excited too....The Red Barn is once again open for summer hours, which means you can get your ice cream fix all the way up to 9 p.m. Woohoo!

Class Update

Thanks for everyone who turned out for our grain class. I hope everyone has been able to use the free grain sample! Cindi made a really good german chocolate cake and pancakes using a wheat base-no flour.

Cooking With Dry Beans

Saturday, March 24^th @ 10am

Using your food storage beans is a great way to stretch food dollars, create flavorful dishes, and increase fiber in your diet.

Come and learn the basics of selecting, soaking, and cooking dry beans in a pressure cooker and slow cooker and using dry beans to make hummus, soups, casseroles and reduced fat quick breads and cookies. Join Karin Terry from Honeyville Grain as she teaches new ways to use old beans!

Pruning Class

Our first class of the year will be "Pruning like a Professional". Join us February 25th at 10a.m. to learn all about pruning your fruit trees for maximum health and fruit production. We will meet at the Barn, and then go to the orchards for a hands on demonstration. Come prepared with any questions - we look forward to assisting you! Taught by South Ridge Farm's very own Thad Rowley.

I love to keep an extra on hand for "emergency" gifts in case you forgot someone on the shopping list!
