Ridgeline Beef, A Cut Above the Rest. </div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
At my house we eat tacos every Tuesday. I prefer to avoid processed foods when I can, so I enjoy making my own taco seasoning, which I would like to share with you today! If you have a bulk foods store close by, like Winco, you can really save big purchasing your spices there. I was able to buy all the spices below for less than the cost of two taco seasoning packs at the store, and still had spices left over! Less money, better taste, no preservatives or artificial ingredients? I'm in! </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhulucEiBwiCd4F6tHoXGOp1KN5Fmu-K3vS7qIaAL57lC3IZXlwpGOavP-R0PWOOfG4Y73_unnNC90OnlfnXKYiRWJjJ5_z5YeMuRxeShEPKpQjtStMcw5nC88F8_tgA7BF7rAwLgx74Pk/s1600/DSC02443.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhulucEiBwiCd4F6tHoXGOp1KN5Fmu-K3vS7qIaAL57lC3IZXlwpGOavP-R0PWOOfG4Y73_unnNC90OnlfnXKYiRWJjJ5_z5YeMuRxeShEPKpQjtStMcw5nC88F8_tgA7BF7rAwLgx74Pk/s1600/DSC02443.JPG" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>

My favorite taco seasoning blend can be found at <a href="http://allrecipes.com/recipe/taco-seasoning-i/detail.aspx?scale=200&ismetric=0" target="_blank">allrecipes.com</a>. You can change the serving size depending on the size of jar you would like to use (I've set it at 200 servings for the amount shown below for your convenience). Once your ingredients are in the jar, just shake, and you are ready to use! 2-3 Tablespoons in your ground beef is the equivalent of a store bought packet. This will last you for months (even eating tacos once a week!) </div>

I have known Austin since he was in the 3rd grade. He is my twins' best friend. He is known as my third twin. To see three boys as close as they are in a group of three for as long as they have been, is very rare. They are really good kids. </div>
<br />
<div class="p2">
<span class="Apple-tab-span"> </span>When Austin was 10 he found a bump on his arm, the boys would call it his squishy bump. They would come home and talk about how Austin's bump changed, and it would gross us moms out. Sara took him to the doctors when he was 10 like a normal mother would. They said that it was just a bunch of blood vessels and not to worry about, but to protect it. Austin did and it didn't stop him from living, he continued playing football, riding bulls, and playing with friends and family. Six years later when he was 16 he woke up in August one night in really bad pain. Which began his really long journey. So Sara took him to Primary Childrens where they told him that there was only two options for him; one was to live with the pain or amputate his arm. Sara and family went from doctor to doctor and got the same results. Until one doctor asked to send his information to a doctor in Denver, Colorado. Who knew he had different methods. They met with him the next September and they gave him the news that they could help him. They said he could do a surgery that would help his arm, but it could be 10 or more surgerys all in Colorado. So for the past year Sara, Kim and Austin have been going to Denver every 4 weeks for his surgery. Last month they gave him a MRI saying he might have only 4-5 surgerys left. In all this he's been strong and brave for all of us. even though he's the one going through it!! I personally know that the medical bills on this is enormous. They have always been there for for others in so many ways and even in this they still are. They are truly a great family!!<br />

Our family slams this stuff faster than milk, so it's a perfect time to stock up! I like freezing mine in ice cube trays and then using it as needed in smoothies (that's if my boys don't drink the whole gallon before I have a chance to have any!)<br />

We also have two new flavors of ice cream: Toasted Coconut and Caramel Apple. Growing up, the hometown grocery store had the best mac and cheese. I know what you are thinking. Mac and cheese? Can't I whip that up on my stove top in ten minutes? Well, yes, you could - but after tasting this you won't want to! Since this grocery store has recently been taken over by a bigger chain store, they've released their recipe. Give it a try sometime and let me know what you think! And while we are talking about cheese, make sure to pick up some <a href="http://www.hebervalleycheese.com/" target="_blank">Heber Valley Artisan Cheese</a> next time you are at the Barn. It's life changing! <br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Ok, so eating them hasn't been an issue, but picking them gets a little prickly! No berries in your backyard? No problem! We at The Red Barn have got you covered. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEis32zQAYpraHzt0yGvIwGo7GgWnptKb6XbD3T_VDcJPmXVuzxAPCiAZij8DabkrU_EPv6jZcDZSBtrhJ6Qbpm8z9rihUxC6AzBBW5OvBn_lZJf28fs6iRELs7LGfXi8qWPrKkJX9rWCgQ/s1600/berry.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEis32zQAYpraHzt0yGvIwGo7GgWnptKb6XbD3T_VDcJPmXVuzxAPCiAZij8DabkrU_EPv6jZcDZSBtrhJ6Qbpm8z9rihUxC6AzBBW5OvBn_lZJf28fs6iRELs7LGfXi8qWPrKkJX9rWCgQ/s320/berry.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
The berries are so delicious this year that it almost pains me to do anything but eat them fresh, but who can resist a good summer fruit pie?</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Today I want to show you how insanely simple it is to make an amazing pie.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
First step: Stop at The Red Barn and pick up a take and bake pie shell (they come two in a box) </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
and berries of your choice. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhtLTJCRFNI5BzVNYymbP7IkOb8NbGMzxXHcrsXaa6-Rqr54itXt2nujtp68J2cptIPxpiFBI1snnpb04nFqHhlCJ_VIqP66t8FK7lxfioo0gTxbqd3UvSpfZQlT-mZNkQLWwE9V1g6ZAY/s1600/DSC_0215_edited-1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="214" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhtLTJCRFNI5BzVNYymbP7IkOb8NbGMzxXHcrsXaa6-Rqr54itXt2nujtp68J2cptIPxpiFBI1snnpb04nFqHhlCJ_VIqP66t8FK7lxfioo0gTxbqd3UvSpfZQlT-mZNkQLWwE9V1g6ZAY/s320/DSC_0215_edited-1.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Because fruit is our main ingredient you will want about 4 cups of berries. Feel free to mix and match your berries. Then just add 3/4 to 1 cup sugar (depending on how sweet you want it) and 1/4 cup flour. Toss gently so you don't mash the berries. This is all you need, but feel free to experiment with adding spices like cinnamon, nutmeg, etc. to give your pie a special twist and unique flavor. </div>

Use the second shell to make a top crust. Pinch to seal the edges and cut a few slits in the top and pop it in the oven. Bake until golden brown (about 45 minutes-1 hour if baking at 350 degrees). Because fruit pies often boil over, I highly recommend putting the pie tin on a cookie sheet to protect your oven from spillage.<br />

</div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
You’ll want to enter this giveaway because this juicer is
awesome! I find that I never get the suggested amount of fruits and vegetables
in my diet. Well, working at The Red Barn I get plenty of fruits, but
vegetables and I have never been that great of friends. I mean who wants to
munch on broccoli, spinach, and brussels sprouts when you can have an apples,
berries, and cherries instead? Well with this juicer you can do both! <o:p></o:p></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<br />
This machine gobbles up fruits and vegetables whole. Most of
our apples are larger, so they need to be cut in half first, but when using
most vegetables, you just feed it through the chute, with no precutting required.
You’ll need to peel your citrus fruit, and take pits out of cherries and
peaches, but other than that, you just wash your produce and toss it right in.
You’ll be amazed at how FAST and SIMPLE it is to get fresh juice, and because
our fruit is so sweet and flavorful, you can add handfuls of vegetables and not
even taste them! I went from eating spinach and carrots once a week to once a
day with the help of the Hamilton Beach Juice Extractor! And the best part? The
kids love it too! If your house is anything like mine, it’s always a battle at
mealtime to even get your kids to put the vegetable on their plate, let alone
eat it! We've found that celery, carrots, spinach, and cucumbers all have a
mild flavor that pairs well with apples, pears, and oranges. With juicing you
are losing out on the fiber, but all the other essential nutrients are still
there, and are actually absorbed into your body faster than eating the food
raw.</div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<o:p></o:p><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgb1DHB7agPEPL9-1n3nD_LNnrHVXkgVeArkyvYXRgy4EAo2MUG2shJ84qP_kxeNVb6aPkknovIdiGpPjZyFKpYKRSING3It5Q3i4GtT6wbv8GxPyKt16Q6SPyzjCDJEzBcxhI2r28HuTA/s1600/juicer2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em; text-align: center;"><img border="0" height="256" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgb1DHB7agPEPL9-1n3nD_LNnrHVXkgVeArkyvYXRgy4EAo2MUG2shJ84qP_kxeNVb6aPkknovIdiGpPjZyFKpYKRSING3It5Q3i4GtT6wbv8GxPyKt16Q6SPyzjCDJEzBcxhI2r28HuTA/s320/juicer2.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
The Hamilton Beach Juice Extractor is easy to assemble, and
has an extra-large pulp collecting bin, so you can juice nonstop for the entire
family. You’ll want to remember to put the cup under the juicing spout, because
nobody likes to drink the juice straight from the counter top (ya, that
accident may have happened more than once around here!). I also suggest putting
a towel or napkin under the machine to catch any drips of juice that may fall
out after moving the juicing cup. Because it’s dishwasher safe it’s a breeze to
clean up as well (although I still suggest washing it by hand immediately after
juicing to prevent the pulp from drying onto the machine). The pulp left over
from juicing can be tossed, fed to animals, added to the compost heap, or be
used in many recipes. Because produce loses vitamins shortly after juicing due to
exposure to light and oxygen, you’ll want to consume your juice within 24
hours, or freeze for later use. We've been juicing strawberries and putting it
in ice cube trays to freeze. It makes a wonderful treat when added to lemonade
on hot summer days!</div>
