You’ll want to enter this giveaway because this juicer is
awesome! I find that I never get the suggested amount of fruits and vegetables
in my diet. Well, working at The Red Barn I get plenty of fruits, but
vegetables and I have never been that great of friends. I mean who wants to
munch on broccoli, spinach, and brussels sprouts when you can have an apples,
berries, and cherries instead? Well with this juicer you can do both!
This machine gobbles up fruits and vegetables whole. Most of our apples are larger, so they need to be cut in half first, but when using most vegetables, you just feed it through the chute, with no precutting required. You’ll need to peel your citrus fruit, and take pits out of cherries and peaches, but other than that, you just wash your produce and toss it right in. You’ll be amazed at how FAST and SIMPLE it is to get fresh juice, and because our fruit is so sweet and flavorful, you can add handfuls of vegetables and not even taste them! I went from eating spinach and carrots once a week to once a day with the help of the Hamilton Beach Juice Extractor! And the best part? The kids love it too! If your house is anything like mine, it’s always a battle at mealtime to even get your kids to put the vegetable on their plate, let alone eat it! We've found that celery, carrots, spinach, and cucumbers all have a mild flavor that pairs well with apples, pears, and oranges. With juicing you are losing out on the fiber, but all the other essential nutrients are still there, and are actually absorbed into your body faster than eating the food raw.
The Hamilton Beach Juice Extractor is easy to assemble, and has an extra-large pulp collecting bin, so you can juice nonstop for the entire family. You’ll want to remember to put the cup under the juicing spout, because nobody likes to drink the juice straight from the counter top (ya, that accident may have happened more than once around here!). I also suggest putting a towel or napkin under the machine to catch any drips of juice that may fall out after moving the juicing cup. Because it’s dishwasher safe it’s a breeze to clean up as well (although I still suggest washing it by hand immediately after juicing to prevent the pulp from drying onto the machine). The pulp left over from juicing can be tossed, fed to animals, added to the compost heap, or be used in many recipes. Because produce loses vitamins shortly after juicing due to exposure to light and oxygen, you’ll want to consume your juice within 24 hours, or freeze for later use. We've been juicing strawberries and putting it in ice cube trays to freeze. It makes a wonderful treat when added to lemonade on hot summer days!
We’d love you to share the recipes you’ve come up with on
our new “share your recipes” feature on our newly remodeled website. Here’s one
I created using produce from The Red Barn and my Hamilton Beach Juice
Extractor. I call it The Cooler Cooler!
The Cooler Cooler
1 cup cherries
1 cup strawberries
2 apples
2 oranges
Wash all fruit. Peel the oranges, pit the cherries, and cut
apples in half. Toss into juicer (or blender) until smooth. Pour over ice and
serve garnished with an orange slice or strawberry if desired. Simple,
nutritious, and refreshing!
With juicers, the recipe possibilities are endless. Use your
imagination and you’ll be right on your way to a healthier you! So, are you
ready to try juicing yourself? Enter this giveaway for your chance to win!

With peach season coming up--perhaps some strawberry peach juice frozen then blended for frosty summer treat, or, some fresh pineapple banana juice blended with frozen coconut milk for a healthy take on a pina colada!! Cheers!
